This is a start!

Finally I did it--set up my blog.
Now to write stuff that might seem mildly interesting to others. Mainly about science, teaching, Indian travels and assorted trivia.

We met this Indian lady, Neeta, at the Chamundi Temple in Mysore, Karnataka. During the three hour shuffle in line to get in to the temple we had made a new Indian friend. She took us to her little flat and made us a wonderful lunch of masala dosa, sweets and cofeee. In my travels thru India I have found this friendly and welcoming behaviour time and again. And so many people I know are frightened to travel in places like India!

If you like ducks so much why don't you get one as a pet? As to David Lynch and his "love" of ducks, as I recall in his movie "Eraserhead" doesn't he feature a chicken which dances and becomes a roast chicken? Not very nice for the chicken but is there much of a difference between chickens and ducks? I think not!
